Navigating the Cloud with Clarity
Discipline: Digital Design and Web Design
Role: UX/UI Design / Creative Direction
Client: Compass Datacenters (Via Enilon)
I partnered with Compass Datacenters to design a website that made technical solutions feel clear and approachable. The goal was to highlight the company’s expertise in scalable, sustainable data centers while creating an experience that felt contemporary and easy to navigate. Working closely with developers, I designed a system that balanced structure with flexibility, presenting complex information in a way that was both intuitive and visually engaging. The result was a modern platform that reflected Compass’ position as a trusted innovator in the data solutions space.
Structure, Contrast, and Clarity
The design leaned on a Constructivist approach, pairing black-and-white cutout imagery with a striking gradient that shifted from cyan to lime green. This bold visual treatment created a strong focal point in the hero sections, while dynamic modular layouts kept content organized and adaptable. Orange accents added moments of energy without overwhelming the palette, which was grounded in white and dark gray content areas. Close-up textures of cloud servers reinforced the subject matter, tying the visuals directly to Compass’ expertise.
The balance of bold visuals and intuitive navigation made complex information easier to digest. Content was structured to highlight both the scale of Compass’ work and the flexibility of their solutions, while clear layouts guided users through services, case studies and technical details. The system delivered an experience that was clear and approachable, showing how thoughtful UX/UI can bring clarity to a highly technical industry.
